In today's digital age, understanding and applying ethical principles is crucial to maintaining integrity, privacy, and well-being in higher education. Co-organised by the Centre of Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL) at HKBU and the Digital Content and Programming division of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, an online course entitled 'An Introduction to Digital Ethics' has been developed. This course addresses the growing need for ethical awareness and practices in digital environments.
During the course, you will explore the common definitions of digital ethics, examine right and wrong ethical behaviours in the higher education context, and identify the basic principles of digital ethics related to academic integrity, accessibility, digital well-being, security, and privacy. The course will be delivered through the KEEP Moodle platform, providing you with a variety of interactive features and learning activities, such as video clips, articles, case studies, reflection tasks, quizzes, online discussion forums, and livestream sessions.
